Before you come in: what NOT to do
The first hours matter. A few common mistakes can turn an easy recovery into an impossible one.
- Don't charge a phone that got wet — current speeds up corrosion.
- Don't put it in rice: it won't dry under the components and wastes precious time.
- Don't factory-reset or reinstall the system — that erases the data for good.
- Don't enter a wrong passcode too many times; some phones wipe themselves after repeated attempts.
- Check iCloud or Google first — your data may already be backed up.
- Bring the phone in quickly and remember your passcode: without it the data can't be read.

What you should know
The phone has to boot
Modern phones (iPhone, recent Android) encrypt their data with a key tied to the logic board. That's why we don't move the memory chip: we repair the original board until it boots.
Your passcode is required
We don't bypass or crack lock codes. Without your passcode or the owner's account, nobody can read the data.
Full confidentiality
We copy only what you ask for, we don't browse your content and we keep nothing after handover. Your data stays yours.

With an automatic backup, a cracked screen is just a repair, not a loss. We'll help you set it up properly, free of charge, whenever you're in for a repair.

Frequently asked questions
Can data be recovered from any broken phone?
Not always. If the logic board and storage can be brought back to working order, the chances are very good. If the storage is physically destroyed, the data on a modern encrypted phone can't be recovered. We'll tell you honestly at the assessment.
How long does it take?
For a broken screen the backup is usually done the same day. Water-damaged phones or logic-board faults can take 1–5 working days. We give you an estimate before we start.
Do I have to fully repair my phone?
No. We can do only the minimum needed to save your data; afterwards you decide whether a full repair is worth it or you'd rather have everything moved to a new phone.
Can you unlock a phone if I forgot the passcode?
No. For legal and security reasons we don't bypass lock codes or iCloud / Google accounts. For a forgotten account, the only route is recovering it directly with Apple or Google.
How do I get my data back?
Straight onto your new phone, onto a USB drive or memory card you bring, or into your own cloud account. You choose; our temporary copies are deleted at handover.
